Abdulrahman Alshaya is an Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and an Associate Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Department at the College of Pharmacy (COP) at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz for Health Sciences. He is also a Consultant Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at King Abdulaziz Medical City Riyadh. He obtained his Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Sciences from King Saud University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee for Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) by the end of 2017. Later, he completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 in Critical Care Pharmacotherapy from BWH, a Harvard-affiliated hospital, in Boston, USA. Dr. Alshaya is board-certified in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care by the American Board of Pharmacy Specialty and is a fellow at CHEST (FCCP). He recently completed his MBA from Texas Tech University with a concentration in Information Technology. He actively participates as a member of multiple scientific and organizing committees at national and international conferences. Dr. Alshaya publishes on critical care-related topics in peer-reviewed journals and presents multiple critical care-related topics at various conferences inside and outside Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he currently serves as a Member of the Pharmacotherapy Chapter in the Saudi Critical Care Society and as an Assistant Editor for the Saudi Journal of Clinical Pharmacy.
