Dr. Omar Elmadhoun is an Anesthesiology Critical Care Consultant at Mayo Clinic and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. He earned his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine, completed his anesthesiology residency at BIDMC/Harvard Medical School, and pursued a Critical Care Fellowship at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Elmadhoun also holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University.
Dr. Elmadhoun is actively engaged in education, research, and leadership endeavors. His expertise spans pulmonary embolism management, heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and hospital administration. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the Critical Care Fellowship at Mayo.
