John W. Devlin, PharmD, MCCM, FCCP is a professor of pharmacy at Northeastern University, a critical pharmacist and research scientist in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. Dr. Devlin’s research program, funded by the NIH, foundations and industry is focused on the detection, prevention and treatment of delirium and disrupted sleep in both ICU and post-ICU settings. Dr. Devlin co-directs the career mentoring core, including an annual research bootcamp, for the NIA-funded NIDUS Delirium Research Network, is a past president of the American Delirium Society and chaired SCCM’s most recent pain, agitation, delirium, immobility and disrupted sleep clinical practice guidelines.
