Dr. Sarah Livesay is an Advanced Practice Nurse with an expertise in stroke and neurocritical care. She is the Associate Dean of Rush University College of Nursing where she oversees the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and co-leads the Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship. Dr. Livesay has published widely on multiple neurocritical care and advanced practice nursing topics. She has co-edited two books on the nursing care of patients with stroke. She led the international effort to create performance measures for neurocritical care. She is the immediate past president of the Neurocritical Care Society, a multiprofessional international society dedicated to those suffering critical neurologic illness and is the current Secretary for the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine.
