Thomas Piraino is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, FCSRT, FAARC, Educator and Consultant. He is also a Lecturer (Adjunct) for the Department of Anesthesia, Division of Critical Care at McMaster University. He has spoken at more than 50 conferences, authored research, editorials, and text book chapters, and is the editor of The Centre of Excellence in Mechanical Ventilation Blog. He is an editorial board member for Respiratory Care, and has won a number of awards and recognitions for his contributions to respiratory care.
