The aim is to form an advisory board to inform the “K-ECLS program”, a Kuwait-wide ECLS program that will encompass pediatric and adult cardiac and respiratory ECLS with the mission to centralize ECLS services”
Audience:
Physicians (intensivists, Respirologists, Cardiologists, Anesthetists, Paediatric Intensivists, Emergency physicians, Internists, Acute care surgeons), Nurses, Respiratory therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Dietitians and other members of the interprofessional team.
Courses and Workshops:
- Adult ECLS - simulation and case-discussion.
- Pediatric ECLS - basics, practical approach and simulation.
- Cannulation - which cannula, which site, manage bleeding, changing strategies.
- Interprofessional - daily management (care, dressing ...etc.), mobilization/physiotherapy.
- Perfusion - priming, trouble shooting, emergencies.
