Welcome Note

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Kuwait Anesthesia and Critical Care Society, it is my honor and privilege to invite you to join us for the 20th International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society (IPACCMS) Conference which will be held between 1st - 3rd February 2025 with Pre-Conference workshops held between 30th and 31st January in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The meeting returns to Kuwait after nearly 18 years were the 3rd IPACCMS conference was held in November 2008.

This conference will be in parallel to 9th International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society Congress, the 16th Asia Africa Conference of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care Societies, the 12th Kuwait Critical Care Conference and the 2nd Kuwait Extracorporeal Life Support Congress and in conjunction with the 6th Regional Neurocritical Care Meeting of the Neurocritical Care Society – Middle East and North Africa Chapter.

This important meeting, the largest in the history of Critical Care Meetings in Kuwait, brings a great collaboration between the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care Societies and the International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society, and highlighting the important role of Kuwait in the provision and advancement of Critical Care Medicine. The meeting will be a great opportunity for all healthcare providers of patient with critical illness, in Kuwait and across the region, to connect with world-renowned professionals to learn first-hand from these esteemed colleges in the varies field of Critical Care Medicine, from Pediatric Critical Care, Neurocritical Care, Adult Critical Care and Extracorporeal Life Support. We hope that conferences like these can foster collaborations beyond the boundaries with regards to education and research with our global colleagues.

We have prepared an agenda encompassing the most up-to-date, evidence-based developments in Critical Care Medicine featuring an outstanding global faculty. The event offers state-of-the-art Critical Care Medicine continuing medical education (CME) opportunities providing cutting-edge information in healthcare delivery, clinical practice, medical research, and quality improvement. The pre-conference workshops allow attendees to hone skills, gain competence and professional growth that may be immediately applied to individual practice and system improvement. An exhibition will be held during the meeting supported by sponsors from countries around the globe providing an opportunity to experience the latest medical technologies available in field.

We chose to seek “Innovation in Critical Care Medicine”, while in recent years we sought excellence in Critical Care Medicine, we look forward towards innovatively transforming the specialty regionally in the coming years with focus on Education, Research and Digital Health to benefit our patients and clinical teams alike.

Welcome to the 20th IPACCMS Kuwait 2025

On behalf of the Kuwait Anesthesia and Critical Care Society (KACCS), it is an honour and a privilege to extend a warm and official welcome to all participants of The 20th International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society Conference - IPACCMS taking place 30th January – 3rd February 2025, which will be held in parallel to 9th International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society Congress, the 16th Asia Africa Conference of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care Societies, the 12th Kuwait Critical Care Conference and the 2nd Kuwait Extracorporeal Life Support Congress and in conjunction with the 6th Regional Neurocritical Care Meeting of the Neurocritical Care Society - MENA chapter.

The overarching theme of this year's conference is "Innovation in Critical Care" reflecting our firm trust in evidence-based practices. Our chosen venue is the prestigious Grand Hyatt Kuwait, which is situated in the iconic 360 Mall, ensuring that your leisure time is both enriching and enjoyable.

The five-day program showcases both nationally and internationally renowned faculty and content sessions, focusing on the most up-to-date, evidence-based advancements in Critical Care Medicine. By exchanging experiences and disseminating knowledge regarding the care of critically ill patients, we hope to offer an invaluable opportunity to build a consensus on the path forward to enhancing our ICU systems, thus equipping us to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.
