Kuwait Cancer Center

The Kuwait Cancer Control Center was developed in the early 1970's as a Tertiary Health Care Center, located in Sabah health region. The department of anesthesia, intensive care, and pain management was established in 1982 to provide safe and efficient administration of anesthesia and perioperative care for surgical patients and intensive therapy for critically ill medical patients who require continuous monitoring and support of vital functions. Initially the ICU was composed 5 critical care beds. This was expanded to 7 beds in 2008 and up to 12 ICU bed and 7 high dependency beds in late 2012.
